What do people think is the longest lasting chewing gum, flavor wise?
I don't usually buy gum but I picked some up when I was buying other stuff and I forgot

Dentyne Pure. Best gum by far. No exceptions.

Mints longer than fruits for sure, doesn't even really matter the brand. Cinnamon comes somewhere in between.
5 gum seems to last the longest for me for the newer stuff with Stride being a contender. For old-style thin sticks it's probably Extra.

Juicy Fruit and Trident are terrible with flavor.

Orbit's the longest lasting I've had, but I'm not really a connoisseur. I once chewed a piece of Orbit for 33 hours.

Orbit seems to last frickin' forever.
Double bubble is the absolute worst when it comes to lasting flavor but the 10 seconds you have to actually chew it before it hardens into some sort of pink amber are glorious.

I used to work for Wrigley. The more unusual the flavor, the less it lasts - anything fruit and the Extra Dessert Delights are going to have the shortest time. Part of it is intentional, to get people to chew through a pack faster, and part of it really is because those flavors are just harder to make than mints.
5 was the longest lasting one we had. The formula is basically the same as Extra, but with a higher concentration of flavoring agents to give a stronger/more intense flavor, which also helps it last longer.

Wrigley's Extra, peppermint sugar free.

But then you have to have Peppermint.

Whoa. Is that healthy?

Peppermint is my choice. There's many other flavors. I have no idea if they are as long-lasting as peppermint though.

Eh, I was young. Plus, I was just chewing it. You could still detect flavor at 20 hours, not strong, but it was there. At 33, it was dissolving and not really chewable anymore. JuicyFruit gets like that after an hour, maybe.

Okay, so it was like a challenge to see how long you could go. Did you stay up 33 hours or sleep with it in?

After a certain point, yes, it was just to see how long it would last. I slept with it in my mouth, so I guess I didn't actually chew it for 33 hours, but it sounded better.

I like Stride (any flavor) or Trident Bubble Gum flavor. Any Sugar-Free gum will typically have longer lasting taste though. And they usually won't give you that weird sugary-candy like aftertaste.

Whoa what's wrong with peppermint?!
Edit: Wrong reply!

That stuff wakes me up in the morning as I'm walking to the train (yes I brush my teeth every morning after breakfast and use mouthwash).
